B.5 Configuring Log Level in the CDF Management Portal for Detailed Logs

Issue: You want to configure the log level in the CDF Management Portal for detailed logs.

Workaround for Dashboard-Web-App:

  1. Open a new tab in a supported web browser.

  2. Specify the URL for the CDF Management Portal:

    https://ESM_for_Fusion_server:5443

    Use the fully qualified domain name of the host that you specified in the Connection step during the CDF configuration. Usually, this is the master node’s FQDN.

  3. Login to the CDF Management Portal with the credentials of the administrative user that you provided during installation.

  4. Click Cluster > Dashboard > Namespaces.

  5. For the namespace, select arcsight-installer-*.

  6. Select Deployments.

  7. Select dashboard-web-app.

  8. Click Edit.

  9. Change the LOG_LEVEL env variable value to debug/warn/trace/error.

  10. Click Update.

Workaround for Dashboard-Metadata-Web-App:

  1. Open a new tab in a supported web browser.

  2. Specify the URL for the CDF Management Portal:

    https://ESM_for_Fusion_server:5443

    Use the fully qualified domain name of the host that you specified in the Connection step during the CDF configuration. Usually, this is the master node’s FQDN.

  3. Log in to the CDF Management Portal with the credentials of the administrative user that you provided during installation.

  4. In the CDF Management Portal, click the icon for the installed suite.

  5. Select Reconfigure.

  6. On the Configuration page, select FUSION.

  7. Select a log level from Dashboard log level and Metadata log level.

  8. Click Save.
