BAL

Create a source file (.bal) in the load library; this file contains the output from the macro pre-process stage of compilation.

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Type directly into the Additional Directives field on the Assembler tab of your project properties Assembler page.

Comments:

The .bal file created is very similar but not identical to the .bal file created by the previous Micro Focus Assembler product, MF370. The files are functionally equivalent but the formatting is not identical. If you specify the LISTCALL directive, each macro call statement is included in the .bal file for cross reference purposes.
