At system start-up, VSE can set a number of values that are available to any job run on the system until shut down. MSS emulates this behavior with the use of a configuration file. You can use the configuration file to specify information about the following:
MSS reads the configuration file at the start of each job, so if you run a job then modify the configuration file, running the job again will pick up the modified configuration file.
There are no in-built ON conditions in the Micro Focus VSE support. However, you can include a set of default ON conditions for a VSE job in the VSE configuration file, and these are then added to each VSE job. See Example VSE JCL Configuration File.
ON conditions in the VSE job file take precedence over those in the VSE configuration file.
