To set environment variables from ESCWA

From the Enterprise Server Common Web Administration (ESCWA) user interface, you can set environment variables to apply to each listed enterprise server region.

  1. In ESCWA, click Native.
  2. In the navigation pane, expand Directory Server > Default.
  3. Select your enterprise server region.
  4. On the General Properties page in the Configuration Information text box, type the following section heading: 
    [ES-Environment]
    Note: This section heading is case sensitive.
  5. Within this section, enter each environment variable you want to configure for this enterprise server region, using a separate line for each, and following the syntax specified. See Environment Variables in Alphabetical Order or one of the Environment Variables by Groups topics for details.
  6. Click Apply to apply the settings to the region.

Example:

To configure your enterprise server region to use an alternative default ESMAC user: 

[ES-Environment]
ES_USR_DFLT_ESMAC=ESMACUSR
