Run-time Module - A1MVCL

Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.

Programs that use IMS path calls or that read VSAM records into alternate I/O areas require the presence of the A1MVCL run-time module to execute properly. These programs use A1MVCL to move blocks of data to a target location from a source location. Values passed from a program to A1MVCL include:

Address of the target area.
Offset within the target area.
Number of bytes to be overlayed in the target area.
Address of the source area.
Starting offset within the source area.
Number of bytes to move from the source area to the target area.
Padding character to use if the number of source bytes is less than the number of bytes to be overlayed in the target area. The default padding character is low-values.

To make the A1MVCL run-time module available to an executing program, copy the following files from your %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\bin directory to the Enterprise Developer project directory that contains your generated and compiled program.

A1MVCL.DLL
A1MVCL.LIB

These files must be present in the project directory before you run the program.
