See Scope - OpenESQL SQL Compiler Directive Options for more information.
The OpenESQL module on Windows is either odbcrw32.dll or odbcrw64.dll. The OpenESQL module on UNIX is either odbcrunx.so or odbcrunx64.so for unthreaded, or either odbcrunx_t.so or odbcrunx64_t.so for threaded.
PRE must be used when creating INT or GNT files.
When compiling with the LITLINK compiler directive on Windows platforms only, specify NOPRE to prevent possible link errors. Because NOPRE stops the code generation that loads the OpenESQL module at run time, you must link your application with the appropriate OpenESQL import library, either odbcrw32.lib (located in %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\lib) or odbcrw64.lib (located in %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\lib64). To do this, add the relevant .lib file to the Link with libs field on the COBOL Link tab of your project properties, or specify it as a cbllink option when linking from the command line. Doing this ensures that the OpenESQL module is loaded at run time.
