Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.
- In the
Data View Manager of the AppMaster Builder perspective, right-click the Database View for which you want to set properties and select
Edit Database View.... The
Load Source for Database View
dialog box appears.
- Click the
Properties tab.
- Do one of the following:
- To load IMS source into this database view, check
Load DDISRC with IMS PSB override, then select the appropriate DDI source location in the
DDISRC Location list.
- To load SQL into this database view, set the SQL target from the
Target list. Then select check boxes as needed to allow mixed case in your SQL table definitions, or generate a REDEFINES statement
for any copybook field with a corresponding DATE, TIME, or TIMESTAMP SQL field. For Double-byte character sets used in DBCS
PICTURE clauses, select the symbol to be used from the list (G, N, or N with NATIONAL USAGE).
- Click
Save/Build. A message box appears indicating when the database view has finished building. Click
OK.
Note:
- If no records are in the database view, clicking
Save/Build displays a message indicating no records have been loaded.
- You can optionally choose to load a specific IMS DDISRC member when you load PSB source by checking
Load DDISRC with IMS PSB override, then selecting the appropriate DDI source location in the DDISRC Location list.
- For SQL, defaults apply if the user does not set any properties.
