Micro Focus recommends disabling features you don't need, particularly for production regions, by editing your various
Enterprise Server for .NET configuration files. These are items you can disable in the region startup file for a JES region.
- Application Program Paths that are not used by your JES applications. This is a small exposure if your filesystems and databases
are already secured.
- EXCI APPLIDs that are not used by your JES applications. (If you do not use EXCI, you can remove all the APPLIDs.) This is
a small exposure, since EXCI security should primarily be enforced by the target CICS regions.
- EXCI Default URL and User Exit, if your JES applications do not use those features. This is also a small exposure.
