You can specify debug properties for Visual Studio, for your projects, and for COBOL files that you edit in the IDE without
a project.
To configure Visual Studio for debugging:
- In Visual Studio, click
Debug > Options.
- Specify any options as required.
To configure a COBOL project for debugging:
- Double-click the
Properties folder in your project, in Solution Explorer.
- Click the
Debug tab in the tabbed properties.
- Specify any options as required.
To adjust the debug properties for COBOL files that are not part of a project:
- In Visual Studio, click
Tools > Options > Micro Focus Tools > Standalone Editing > General.
- Specify any options as required.
To change the debug properties for folders opened in Visual Studio using
File > Open Folder:
- Right-click a the folder in Solution Explorer, and click
Properties.
- Click the
ES Debug tab, and specify any options are required.
To change the debug properties for files in folders opened in Visual Studio using
File > Open Folder:
- Right-click a COBOL program which is part of a folder in Solution Explorer.
- Click
Debug and Launch Settings, then specify any options as required.
