Configuring CICS resources for Micro Focus Database File Handling

The following steps sets the CICS Resource Definition File Path field, so that you can use a datastore:

  1. In the menu bar, click NATIVE.
  2. In the navigation pane, expand Directory Servers.
  3. Click the region you want to configure.
  4. Click CICS > Resources.
  5. In the Resources Definition File Path field, type the full path of the resource definition file for this enterprise server. For example sql://MYPAC/VSAM/RDEF?type=folder

If a CICS resource definition file already exists and you want to use this with the Performance and Availability Cluster (PAC) then import the file to the database using dbfhdeploy and the path specified in the CICS Resource Definition File Path. For example: 

dbfhdeploy -quiet data add <PATH>\dfhdrdat.dat sq://MYPAC/VSAM/dfhdrdat.dat?folder=RDEF
