Description of enhancement
The maximum size of a VARCHAR field in Informix is 255 bytes. extend now supports the additional data type LVARCHAR, which can store items up to 32,739 bytes. The new data type will be used for fields larger than 255 bytes that have the VAR-LENGTH directive applied to them.
