This variable specifies the version number of new Vision files that are created. The default value is 6, which produces Vision files in the format of the current version (Version 6). The value 5 produces Version 5 files. Version 5 and 4 files are generated in a dual file format, with data records filed in one segment and overhead key information filed in another. The value 3 produces Version 3 files, in which data and keys are stored in a single file. Any value other than 3, 4 or 5 produces Version 6 files.
