View and search data managed by OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights. Your view and the available actions you can take is based on whether the data is unstructured (documents from SharePoint, Google, file systems, and so on) or structured (data in database tables). Your ability to view data and take action is further managed by your permissions.

When viewing the research page, you will see the action ribbon, filter pane or folder pane, content list, and, optionally, the content view and detail panes.

You can view data in several presentations. The view you select determines the initial information that is available in the content list and any additional panels. Your last selected view persists until you make a different selection. The activity ribbon and filter pane are present in all views.

• The Grid view () includes the content list, but displays different information than the content list in the List view. In this view, you cannot see the content of the selected unstructured document and the content detail pane is not available.

• The List view () includes the content list and either the content view pane or the content detail pane. To select the view for the second pane, click the preferences icon () and then click Content to show the content view pane or Detail to show the content detail pane, which includes data analysis, tag information and actions, and metadata information.

• The Detailed view () includes the content list, the content view pane, and the content detail pane. In this view, you can see the content of the selected data item, if available. The detail pane includes data analysis, tag information and actions, and metadata information.

  TIP: If you do not have permission to preview the content of individual data items, you cannot view the content view pane and therefore the Detailed view is not selectable.

• Preferences () lets you determine how the content list view is presented and, if you have permission, whether to view the content of the data item with or without masking in place. Your selection is remembered until you make a different selection.

  • In the Show on List View section, click Content to show the content view pane or click Detail to show the content detail pane, which includes data analysis, tag information and actions, and metadata information.

    TIP: If you do not have permission to preview the content of individual data items or the selected data item has been protected, you will not be able to select the Content view.

  • In the Data Masking section, click Unmasked View to show the original data item content (text or near-native view) with all identified grammar values visible or click Masked View to show the data item content with the values for configured grammar rules fully or partially masked.

    TIP: If you do not have permission to view masked data, you will not see these options.
