OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights lets you find, protect, and secure sensitive and high-value data within on-premises and cloud data platforms across your enterprise. Identify, collect, and organize content to ensure discovery of sensitive data. Configure how structured and unstructured sources and datasets are processed and categorized with Connect. Analyze your data under management with Analyze. Organize, review, and take action on documents and unstructured data items with Manage.

OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights home page

After a successful log on, the OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights home page opens. From the home page, you can access all components within the application that you have access to.

From within each component UI, click the OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights logo above the primary navigation pane to navigate to the other UIs within the application.

UI features

OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights includes the following general user interface features.

  • Retract the navigation pane to show only the icons for the top level menu items. When you click one of the icons in the retracted navigation pane, the pane expands to full width. If you click a menu item that has sub-items, the navigation pane and menu items expand and the page does not change until you click the sub-item; if you click a menu items that does not have sub-items, the navigation pane expands and you are taken to the appropriate page

  • If enabled in your environment, click the Aviator Aviator icon icon to open the Aviator pane. Use Aviator to get answers to questions about using OpenText Core Data Discovery & Risk Insights. Smart Insight responses are compiled based on information in the Help Center.

  • Click the notification icon notification icon to open the notification pane to review and manage your notifications. For more information about notifications, see Notifications.

  • Click the help icon help icon to open the Help Center.

  • Click the settings icon settings icon to see the user you are logged in as or to log out. If logged in as a non-federated user, you can change your password. If enabled in your environment, you can also change the language displayed in the UI.

  • Where applicable, in a list view,

    • Click the item name to open the edit dialog.

    • Click anywhere in a list row to highlight the row. When applicable, this also reveals action icons in the right column.

    • When applicable, hover over the row to reveal action icons in the right column.

    • Click the open detail pane icon () to open a detail pane for the selected item; click the close icon (close icon) to close the detail pane.

    • Click a column header to sort the contents by that column. An icon next to the column header indicates whether the order is ascending (ascending icon) or descending (descending icon).

    • Click and drag a column resize bar (column resize bar) to adjust the width of the columns as desired. If present, click the preferences icon (preferences icon) above the list to select or deselect the columns to include in your view, or to reset the columns to the default view. Your preferences are saved for the browser until the cache is cleared.

TIP: You have access to features and functions based on your assigned permissions. You will only see features and functions that you have permission to see.
