In the left hand menu, select
Indices.
The
Indices page appears.

Check each index you want the policy to apply to.
Note: You can only apply a policy to indices that do not already have a policy applied to them.

Click
Apply policy.
The
Apply policy dialog box appears.

From the
Policy ID drop-down list, select the policy you want to apply to the selected events.
Click
Apply.

To attach a rollover alias to your index, select your policy and select
Add rollover alias.
