License Server Architecture

License Server is an ACI server, which accepts HTTP requests (known as ACI actions and service actions) from a Web browser.

You send ACI actions by sending a HTTP request to the host where License Server is installed and the port that you configure as the License Server ACI port. ACI actions allow you to perform most License Server functions, such as issuing and revoking licenses.

You send service actions by sending a HTTP request to the host where License Server is installed and the port that you configure as the License Server service port. Service actions allow you to control the License Server, for example to stop the service or validate the configuration file.
