Reporting

The DBA provides a set of predefined reports to give a comprehensive overview of a catalog. These reports are run from the Designer, but groups and users that have reporting privileges are also able to run the non-data-related reports from DBA.

Each report displays in the DBA, but it can also be exported in a number of formats: XML, HTML, and CSV.

By default, reports are exported to (and most likely opened from) the default reports directory, which is %PUBLIC%\Documents\Micro Focus\RM\Reports. You can configure a different directory by clearing the Tools > Options > General > Use Default Reports Directory option, and selecting a new location .

The following files are located in the default reports directory, and are utilized when you run a report from the same location:

ReportToHtml.xslt
If Tools > Options > General > Transform reports exported as XML is selected, this is the default XML style sheet that is used to transform your reports exported to XML format.
Report.css
This is the standard cascading style sheet used to style your reports exported to HTML format.
SortHtmlTable.js
This JavaScript file allows you to sort the table columns of your reports exported to HTML format.

If you run a report from a location other than the default reports directory, you should copy these files to the same location in order that they are used when the report is run.

Tip: You can customize the appearance of your reports by editing these files; however, we recommend that you make copies of these files before you start to edit their contents.
