SEPs

This page displays information about the Service Execution Processes (SEPs) on the current server.

Click Data Displays for the TSC Service to view the TSC Data.

Click Queue Display for the IMS Service to view the queue.

You can view, stop, or kill some processes by clicking the appropriate icon at the end of the row.

Type
Displays the type of service that is running. The type can be:
SEP
Service execution process.
CAS Manager
An enterprise server management service.
JCP
Journal control program.
TDP
Extra-partition transient data program.
Fileshare
A Fileshare service.
Process ID
This column displays the Process ID.
Task Number
This column displays the task number for the service. You can view which clients are associated with a Process ID by displaying the Clients page, click Monitor > Clients.
Count
This column displays the number of jobs this SEP has run since it was started.
Activity
Start Time
This column displays the time at which the service was started.
Duration
This column displays the amount of time the service has been running.
Client
This column displays the Process ID (PID) of the client using this server.
Wait ID / Duration
The Wait ID indicates, for suspended services, the ID of the process that is waiting to complete and the amount of time the process has been waiting.
Service ID / Transaction ID
This column displays the service or transaction ID belonging to the process where available.
Transaction
This column displays the transaction where available.
Function
This column displays the function.
User ID
This column displays the ID of the signed-on client that is currently being processed.

IMS MPR Processes

Name
The IMS MPR process name.
Process ID
The process ID of the Message Processing Region (MPR) SEP.
Message Number
The task number of the current or last message processed.
Message Classes
The IMS Message Classes (up to four) that can be scheduled in this MPR.
Message Count
The count of messages processed by this MPR during the current Enterprise Server run.
Start Time
The local OS time of day that the current transaction was initiated or blank if there is no current transaction being processed.
Duration
The delta between the start time (if any) and the time this display was constructed.
Transaction ID
The transaction ID of the current Message Processing Program (MPP) scheduled in the MPR or blank.
Source / Status
Source is the LTERM that was the source of the current message being processed. Status is displayed between messages, such as:
  • Idle
  • WFI - Wait For Input
  • pWFI - Psudio Wait For INPUT, that is, waiting for input because of MPR definition rather than the transaction definition.
IMS Type
PWFI or blank, populated based on the configuration of the MPR.
PROCLIM
The number of messages that will need to be processed before the MPR reaches its processing limit. The current transaction's PROCLIM definition minus the number of messages that the MPP has already processed during this schedule. The MPR might not be rescheduled for a different MPP until this limit is reached or, for non-WFI, no further messages are waiting for this transaction/MPP. The lower limit is a value of 0 (zero).
