Complexity Report

Note: This functionality is only available if you are connected to a Enterprise Analyzer or COBOL Analyzer repository.

The Complexity Report tabulates metrics about your COBOL files. You can select multiple files at once to compare their metrics in a Complexity Report.

To create a complexity report in the IDE:

  1. In Analysis Application Server, right-click a workspace, and select Complexity Report.

    This opens the Complexity Report view for that workspace.

  2. Click the different tabs to see the metrics for the different file types.
  3. Right-click a file in the report, and select a command from the context menu, to get further details.

To configure what columns are visible on the different tabs in the report:

  1. Click Settings in the Analysis Application Server window.

    Alternatively, click Window > Preferences > Micro Focus > COBOL > Code Analysis > Complexity Report.

    This opens the Preferences window on the Complexity Report page. You can specify which columns you want to see in the Complexity Report by

  2. On the tabs for the different source files, check or uncheck any metrics depending on what you want to view in the complexity report.
    Note: The Program Flow Graph is only supported on Windows.
  3. Click Apply and Close.

    You need to generate the report again, to see any new metrics you have selected.
