You can create an interface field using any of these methods:
- Drag and Drop

- In the
Interface Mapper, drag a field from the
COBOL Entry Point pane and drop it in
either the
Interface Fields - Input or the
Interface Fields - Output pane.
Note: Interface fields created using the Drag and Drop method are automatically mapped to the originating field.

- In the
COBOL Entry Point pane, right-click the originating field and select
New Input Field or
New Output Field from the context menu.
- Define field properties as required; then click
OK.
- Interface Fields context menu

- In the
Interface Fields - Input or
Interface Fields - Output pane, right-click and select
New Interface Field from the context menu. In this case, a default mapping is not generated for the new interface field. Therefore, be sure to
map the new field manually.
- Define field properties as required; then click
OK.
- Main Menu

- In the
Interface Mapper, click in the
Interface Fields - Input or
Interface Fields - Output pane.
- From the main menu, click
FIELD > New Interface Field.
- Define field properties as required; then click
OK.
