Novell Appoints New Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Novell Inc., today announced the appointment of Nicholas A. Tiliacos as senior vice president, Worldwide Sales.

Novell Inc., today announced the appointment of Nicholas A. Tiliacos as senior vice president, Worldwide Sales. Tiliacos joins Novell from Lucent Corporation where he was president and CEO of Mosaix, a recent Lucent acquisition focused on Customer Relationship Management software and services. Reporting directly to Stewart Nelson, Novell COO, Tiliacos will succeed Ron Heinz, who has left the company.

Mr. Tiliacos will be responsible for driving the growth of Novell's Net services software business worldwide, including managing Novell's direct sales force and relationships with Novell's 27,000 channel and distribution partners. He brings significant experience in growing international business as well as expertise in the carrier and telecommunications industry. His charter will be to accelerate Novell's growth as the leading provider of Net services software that secures and powers all types of networks as one Net, across leading operating systems.

Mr. Tiliacos joins Novell with more than 20 years of business development and worldwide sales experience in the customer relationship management and telecommunications industries. Previous to Mosaix being acquired by Lucent, Tiliacos successfully transformed Mosaix from a Call Center company to one focused on customer relationship management services and software. He was a founding partner and managing director of Ventech International, an international consulting and business development company focused on growing information technology companies in foreign markets. Tiliacos has also held key executive, strategic business development, and finance positions at US West, GTE and Pluricom S.A. de C.V.

Mr. Tiliacos holds business administration degrees from Florida State and American Graduate School of International Management.
