Novell and IBM Take Secure Content Provisioning on the Road

19 June 2001

Who: Novell, Inc., the leading provider of Net services software

What: Novell, Inc. today announced the company's 43-city Secure Content Provisioning Seminar tour. Presented in partnership with IBM, each tour stop offers Novell customers and partners a chance to see the bottom-line benefits Web-based application delivery offers their customers and employees.

The free seminars focus on the combination of Novell® OnDemand Services™ 1.5 and IBM eServer* xSeries* systems, a Web-based solution that enables businesses to host, manage, track and deliver electronic goods and services to customers, employees and partners. This dynamic application- and content-provisioning platform is ideally suited to enterprises and service providers (ASPs, HSPs, ISPs, MSPs and NSPs). Built on NDS® eDirectory, Novell OnDemand Services allows users to purchase, lease or access applications and other electronic content via a standard Web browser.

Hands-on demonstrations will help attendees discover how Novell OnDemand Services:

  • Supports diverse content-delivery methods
  • Accelerates application deployment with thin-client and Web-browser computing
  • Offers new ways to control content delivery
