Novell Begins eOpportunity Tour to Introduce the New, Web-Enabled NetWare 5.1

Novell, Inc., today announced the beginning of a global eOpportunity tour targeted at resellers and end users of Novell's NetWare software. The North American portion of the tour, which is co-sponsored by IBM* Netfinity* (NYSE: IBM) and Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), will begin in Salt Lake City, Utah this month, and will span 160 U.S. and Canadian cities. The purpose of the tour is to present the new capabilities of Novell's NetWare 5.1 server platform and its benefits to ebusiness. Resellers and consumers will also learn about the advantages of upgrading to NetWare 5.1, the next version of the company's flagship product that extends the network to the Web by integrating Web services and browser-based administration into Novell's industry leading network infrastructure platform.

The tour includes sessions tailored for resellers and for end users. During the seminars, participants will learn how a small company can compete with a national chain by integrating ebusiness solutions from Novell, IBM and Lucent Technologies. Lucent Technologies will show the power of directory-enabled RealNet* Rules Policy Manager, QIP* and Cajun* switches in a mixed-network environment.
