Novell BorderManager Enterprise Edition 3.6 now shipping

Novell BorderManager Enterprise Edition 3.6, the latest version of Novell's high-performance Internet security management suite, is now available.

Novell BorderManager Enterprise Edition 3.6, the latest version of Novell's high-performance Internet security management suite, is now available. With firewall, virtual private networking (VPN), caching and authentication (RADIUS) services, BorderManager Enterprise Edition 3.6 runs on NetWare and features tight integration with Novell eDirectory to deliver secure single sign-on for users accessing confidential company information from the Internet, an intranet or extranet.

Features new to BorderManager Enterprise Edition 3.6 include:

  • Support for VPN over Network Address Translation (NAT) that allows cable modem and DSL customers with NAT to work from home over the BorderManager VPN
  • Support for cookie-based session identifiers that allows customers with NAT and/or Citrix servers to do user-based URL blocking
  • RADIUS authentication up to 40 authentications per second, an eight-fold increase

BorderManager Enterprise Edition 3.6 is available for $40 per user for new customers or $22 per user for existing customers (minimum five-user license) through Novell authorized resellers.
