Adoption of key industry certification will strengthen Novell security Global recognition of CISSP certification gives customers worldwide assurance on Novell security expertise
Moving to expand its capacity to deliver Novell® solutions around secure identity management, secure Web services and cross-platform services, Novell is teaming with the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)² SM to validate its expertise in the information security field. Working with (ISC)², a globally recognized non-profit organization comprised of top security experts worldwide, Novell is launching an ongoing program to certify its consultants with the industry-leading Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certification. The CISSP certification provides an independent and objective measure of professional expertise and knowledge within the information security industry. The certification is acquired through a combination of practical work experience, formal education, adherence to a code of ethics, and understanding of the CBK™, a comprehensive and continuously updated compendium of information security best practices developed by (ISC)². Under the terms of the agreement between Novell and (ISC)², Novell will be provided CBK review training designed to lead to success on the rigorous CISSP exam.
