Attachmate Corporation, the leader in advanced software for helping organizations get more out of what they already have by integrating their existing systems with emerging technologies, today announced that its president and general manager, Kathleen Owens, has been selected as one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” The award recognizes Owens for her leadership, achievement in business and community service.
“It’s an honor to be included and to represent Attachmate on this prestigious list,” said Kathleen Owens, president and general manager at Attachmate Corporation. “Attachmate’s employees are at the heart of our success and this recognition is as much a testament to their commitment, support and contributions. I’m grateful to be a part of such a great organization and to work with an outstanding group of colleagues.”
Owens joined Attachmate in 1999 and began her career at the company in regional and international sales. She rose through the ranks to serve as territory manager, sales director and most recently, vice president of sales for North America.
In addition to her executive role at Attachmate, Kathleen mentors young women and supports several community organizations including the Act of Giving Foundation, United Way, and Girl Scouts of Western Washington.
Owens and other 2013 honorees will receive their awards at the 40 Under 40 Awards Bash to be held Thursday, September 19, at the Showbox SODO in Seattle.
