  • Bundle pricing/packaging provides higher value to customers
  • Together, ZENworks products provide end-to-end one Net management

During opening day at Novell's annual BrainShare conference, the company announced plans for three ZENworks product bundles. Scheduled for general release in the next 30 days, the ZENworks bundles offer customers purchasing multiple products significant pricing discounts as they move their businesses to the Net. Novell's ZENworks product bundles give customers a streamlined pricing model that simplifies ordering and licensing, and the discounts provide customers with increased value. ZENworks balances the customer's need to control IT resources, user and IT staff efficiencies, and management costs, enabling them to personalize business processes to employees, customers and partners.

In-line with its newly announced DENIM(SM) architecture, Novell is offering the ZENworks product bundles as part of its Net Management Services strategy. ZENworks products leverage the industry's leading directory service, NDS, to provide a balanced, end-to-end management solution for user desktops and applications; servers that host business critical information; and network devices, like routers and switches, that control network bandwidth resources. The product bundle content and pricing is as follows:

  • ZENworks for Desktops and NetWare 5.1 are bundled in a single server, five-user configuration for $760. Additional user licenses are available starting at $92.

  • ZENworks for Servers and ZENworks for Desktops and ManageWise 2.7 are available together for $110 per user.

  • ZENworks for Servers, ZENworks for Desktops, ZENworks for Networks and ManageWise 2.7 will be available together for $150 per user.

Additionally, separate upgrade pricing is available for earlier versions of ManageWise, ZENworks and previous bundles. Maintenance or upgrade protection is required to participate in the bundle pricing. "Novell's ZENworks products build upon our strength in directory-enabled management to deliver a true end-to-end Net services solution for eBusinesses," said Dave Shirk, senior vice president of product management at Novell. "These product bundles extend Novell's eDirectory(tm) story, establishing an important new role for Novell's directory at the center of eBusiness."
