Novell today announced an agreement with HP whereby Novell's line of Linux offerings, including Novell® Nterprise™ Linux Services, will be offered by HP to its enterprise customers. Beta versions of Novell Nterprise Linux Services are expected to be available on select industry-standard HP ProLiant* servers in July 2003. Novell recently announced its plan to provide customers the choice of running all of Novell's advanced network services for business - including NetWare® services - on the Linux server operating system, and Novell Nterprise Linux Services is an early delivery in that plan. Details of the beta program are available at http://www.novell.com/linux.

"The active support of key partners like HP is invaluable as Novell continues to deliver on its vision of one Net without information boundaries," said Jack Messman, Novell chairman and CEO. "Nterprise Linux Services is making open, cross-platform services a reality for even more organizations, giving them the options they need to compete and succeed today, without worry that their solutions will be isolated from the market tomorrow. That's what our customers need, and that's the promise of Novell."

Rick Becker, vice president of OS Alliances and Software CTO, HP Industry Standard Servers, said, "Linux continues to become a more critical piece in the business infrastructure of our customers and we're pleased to be partnering with Novell for their advanced software services on Linux. Novell's Nterprise Linux Services integrated with industry-leading HP ProLiant servers offer a strong solution for our joint Linux customers to resolve their complex business IT problems."

Novell today introduced Novell Nterprise Linux Services, giving customers file, print, messaging, directory and management services in an integrated package that runs and will be supported on Red Hat Linux and SUSE Linux distributions. Available later this year, Nterprise Linux Services combines the benefits of Linux with proven, rock-solid support and network services from Novell.

Nterprise Linux Services is part of Novell Nterprise, a set of offerings that improve communication, simplify and automate network management, and allow workers to be productive regardless of location, device or platform.
