Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO.L), a leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing and management solutions, today announced the appointment of Dave Vano as Senior Vice President of its Federal Business Unit.

In this role, Vano will oversee all Micro Focus federal business operations and the ongoing development of new solutions for the federal market. Previously, Vano served as Micro Focus Vice President of Worldwide Inside Sales and Demand Generation. Prior to joining the company, he held sales and technical executive positions with Attachmate Corporation and BMC Software. Vano also served as a consultant for the NASA Glenn Research Center.
As a retired Navy Reservist with more than 20 years of combined active duty and reserve service, Vano brings extensive military knowledge to the role. His service in the Navy Reserve included tours of duty with the Navy Network Warfare Command; Naval Security Group Activity, Adak, Alaska; National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Maryland; and Submarine Group 7, Yokosuka, Japan. During his service, Vano earned several military decorations, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and two Navy Achievement medals.
