Novell is optimizing eDirectory for Compaq's Tru64 UNIX* operating system to run on Compaq's new servers. The combination of Novell's highly scalable Internet directory, eDirectory, with Compaq's AlphaServer GS Series servers and Tru64 UNIX OS will provide customers with outstanding network scalability, reliability and performance.
In order to give enterprise customers the freedom to choose the best solutions to meet their needs, Novell has committed to deliver the first native 64-bit port of NDS to Tru64 UNIX. The new Compaq AlphaServer GS80, GS160 and GS320 systems running Tru64 UNIX are an ideal solution for organizations that require highly scalable servers to accommodate rapid growth and varying traffic patterns. Compaq's new AlphaServer GS Series systems can manage massive amounts of data and support customer requirements for input, storage and inquiry and provide the fastest, highly-reliable 24x7 computing environment.
