Company Takes Top Place in Number of Patents in Utah, Novell Distinguished Engineers Ranked in Top 20 Inventors
Novell and two Novell Distinguished Engineers were recognized at the Utah Genius 2011 awards luncheon on March 24, 2011. Presented by Bateman IP Law Group and KSL TV, Novell was recognized in two categories:
Dipto Chakravarty, vice president of engineering for Novell's Identity & Security solutions accepted the award for Novell's top position in the Utah's Top 20 Companies by Number of Patents Issued
Stephen Carter and Lloyd Burch, both Distinguished Engineers for Novell Identity & Security solutions, accepted awards for Utah's Top 20 Inventors. Individuals were selected based on the number of patents issued in Utah. Carter has 19 patents ranking him in third place and Carter has eight patents ranking him twentieth place.
