System Requirements

Micro Focus Storage Manager runs on NetIQ eDirectory. With the exception of the Administrative Workstation, all components are installed on Micro Focus Open Enterprise Server hosts.

Following are minimum requirements for each component in Micro Focus Storage Manager 5.0 NetIQ® eDirectory deployments.

¹Micro Focus Storage Manager does not presently support large volume and disk quota sizes on Open Enterprise Server 2015, Open enterprise Server 2015 SP1, and Open Enterprise Server 2018.

²Data from NetWare® 6.5 Support Pack 2 or later could have file and folder names with UTF-8 characters that earlier versions of NetWare don’t support. If this is a possibility, do not use these platforms as target or vault paths. Micro Focus recommends you use the latest support pack available for your particular platform on all production servers.
