Micro Focus File Reporter can report on the contents of storage resources located in NetIQ® eDirectory and Microsoft Active Directory—at the same time.
During the installation of the File Reporter Engine, you can specify the primary identity system (directory service) when you load the Micro Focus File Reporter license file. If the File Reporter license file is for Active Directory, then Active Directory is the primary identity system. If the license file is for NetIQ eDirectory, then NetIQ eDirectory is the primary identity system.
File Reporter also lets you enable other identity systems so that you can scan and report on the storage resources that are within those systems. In fact, along with a single Active Directory domain, you can enable multiple NetIQ eDirectory trees as identity systems.
