SilverStream's selection to the "Fast 50" caps an eventful year of activity and recognition, consummated by Novell's acquisition of the company as an integral part of its strategy to provide a compelling Web services offering. The company's flagship product, now known as Novell exteNd, first shipped in November of 2001 and was quickly embraced by leading organizations worldwide including ABN AMRO (US), GfK AG (DE) and a number of US government agencies.
