Tobit's FaxWare for GroupWise seamlessly integrates with Novell GroupWise& NDS eDirectory providing enterprises with unified messaging capabilities
Tobit Software, a leading developer of network-based business communication software, announced today that the company's fax server solution, designed specifically for Novell's GroupWise knowledge platform, is now available to end-users who participate in Novell's licensing programs. Developed jointly by Tobit and Novell, FaxWare for GroupWise offers tight integration between Tobit's enterprise fax server (FaxWare) and Novell's Net services software, such as GroupWise 5.x and NDS eDirectory. With nearly 40 percent of enterprise long distance costs attributed to traditional faxing, FaxWare for GroupWise makes possible a dramatic reduction in communications costs by allowing users to send, receive and manage their faxes through the standard GroupWise client and the GroupWise Web client (source: Dataquest).
Central to the release of FaxWare for GroupWise is its integration with NDS eDirectory, the underpinning of Novell's Net services software products and its Directory-Enabled Net Infrastructure Model (DENIM SMsize=2>) architecture. Directory integration reduces administration costs by providing a single, secure point of management for all users and applications within an enterprise thereby simplifying the complexity of doing business on the Net.
"FaxWare for GroupWise has been designed to easily and effectively enable the enterprise to build on the GroupWise knowledge platform's already powerful messaging and collaborative capabilities," said Marc Trudel, president of Tobit Software North America. "Migrating to a Network Fax solution has never been easier for large enterprises that have embraced Novell's vision of one Net. The addition of FaxWare for GroupWise to Novell's licensing programs combines the power and flexibility of Tobit's Fax Server technology which can seamlessly integrate into an existing Novell environment with the superior customer service and pricing models traditionally offered by Novell to its licensing customers."
"Today's large enterprises literally spend millions of dollars each year in faxing costs," said David Shirk, senior vice president of product management, Novell, Inc. "The combination of FaxWare for GroupWise and the GroupWise knowledge platform enables customers to dramatically reduce those communication costs, lower administration costs and enhance service with greater speed and cost-effectiveness via the Web through the centralized management provided by NDS eDirectory."
