Micro Focus Announces Open Enterprise Server 2018 Updates

SUNNYVALE, CA – Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO; NYSE: MFGP) today announced the release of Open Enterprise Server 2018 Service Pack 1, offering new functionality and enhanced performance to its suite of enterprise file and print services. Micro Focus Open Enterprise Server 2018 gives IT administrators streamline collaboration and drive employee effectiveness, including comprehensive data storage and print management, file sharing, and network access functionality.

• CIFS / SMB Stack improvements: Enables SPEC compliance and general performance.
• NCP Stack Improvements: Provides improved multi-factor authentication support.
• Domain Services for Windows: Enables scalability and provides enhanced security improvements through stack updates to SMB (which adds SMB 2 support) and Kerberos.
• NSS File Stack Improvements: Offers native 4K disk support, 64 Bit SMS, updated FTP stack, and scalability of NIT and NURM.
• UI Refresh: Improved UI in iManager, Java Console, and NetStorage.
• Cloud Integrated Storage: New functionality, including install, deployment, management, and monitoring.
• Support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3 and eDirectory 9.1.
• Business Continuity Clustering Install Pattern: Micro Focus Business Continuity Clustering is now an install pattern in OES to simplify distribution and deployment.
