Parsing, or verifying, an application source file generates the object model for the file. Only a master user can verify source files.
You can verify a single file, a group of files, all the files in a folder, or all the files in a project. Typically, you should verify an entire project. COBOL Analyzer parses the files in appropriate order, taking account of likely dependencies between file types.
COBOL Analyzer can only verify source files that only have ASCII characters in the path and file names.
Workspace and Project Verification options determine verification behavior. The default values for these options are preset based on your configuration and should be appropriate for most installations:
