Archiving your current messaging data to Retain is easy. Just implement the new messaging system—such as Office 365—and then connect Retain to your new system. All of your data is then accessible without downtime or end user disruption.

Policy-based archiving in agnostic formats

Determine how you want to archive your email, mobile, and social media communication data with Retain’s configurable policies. These policies enable you to define what is archived based on various message features, including message source, status, mailbox type, and more.

Your messages are also archived in a platform-agnostic format, which means that no matter what email system you’re running, Retain supports it.

Supported email platforms and plugins

Retain supports the following email platforms:

  • Exchange 2007 SP3, 2010 SP2 or higher, and 2013
  • Office 365 Plans E1–E4
  • Google GSuite paid and education
  • GroupWise 7.0.3 HP1 or above, GroupWise 8, GroupWise 2012, GroupWise 2014+, and GroupWise 18+

Archived messages can be accessed and searched directly from within Outlook, Web Access, and GroupWise. Retain provides the ability to cache archived data based on specified criteria for offline access.

Fast, flexible access to your data

Retain Unified Archiving ensures that you can access your communication data anywhere, anytime by providing single sign-on. Whether your users are using Outlook, the Outlook Web App, the GroupWise Client, or GroupWise WebAccess, they can easily access your archived data.

Your archives are also easily accessible from multiple access points, including the end-user email client, the Retain mobile app, the browser-based web access client, and the Offline Archive Viewer. Plus, your archived data can be exported to a portable, stand-alone archive viewer.

Skype for Business archiving

Retain Unified Archiving archives Skype for Business messaging in a single, central archive, along with email, social media, and mobile communication. Once archived, you have the ability to browse, search, perform eDiscovery, and gain oversight of Skype for Business communication data.
