Creating a Unix Folder

To see Unix directories and files in the File Explorer, you must create one or more folders directly under the “Unix” folder and specify the Unix directory on the server to which each folder links. These user-defined folders work like a Unix symbolic link on the server. However, the user-defined folder names are local to the Windows machine and specific to that Windows user.

Note

ChangeMan ZDD uses the term “folder” to refer to the user-defined virtual folders which are known only on the user’s Windows machine and do not exist on the server. The term “directory” is used to refer to Unix directories that actually exist on the mainframe and are known globally to all users.
