The New Folder Wizard

You create folders for data sets, jobs, and Unix files using the New Folder wizard. The wizard can be started by right-clicking on any of the following items:

  • the ZDD Network icon

  • a Server icon

  • a root folder (Data Sets, Jobs, or Unix)

  • a user-defined folder under the Data Sets or Jobs root folders

When the popup menu displays, you select ZDD Network | New Folder.

The first page of the wizard that displays allows you to enter information based on which item you right-click:

If you right-click on . . . The first page . . .
ZDD Network Allows you to specify the server name, folder type, and folder name.
Server Allows you to specify the folder type and folder name (the server name is already known).
Root Folder or User-Defined Folder Allows you to specify the folder name (the server name and folder type are already known).

The second page of the wizard that displays depends on the folder-type selected:

Folder Type Second Page
Data Set You specify pattern names for data sets to be included in the folder.
Job You specify which jobs are to be included in the folder.
Unix You specify the Unix path name that will be the root directory for the folder.
