Data Set Global Properties

Global properties pertaining to all data set folders are configured as properties of the "DataSets" root folder, directly below the server in the File Explorer tree. The Properties dialog box the "DataSets" folder contains the following tabs for configuring properties.

Tab	Description
File Extensions	Associate file extensions with data set name patterns. The default file extension is the last qualifier of the data set name. See File Extensions Page for more information.
File Formats	Associate local file formats with data set names or patterns. See File Formats Page for more information.
Library Types	Specify data set names or patterns for CA-Panvalet® and CALibrarian® libraries. See Library Types Page for more information.
New Data Sets	Specify default properties for new data sets that match the corresponding data set name pattern. See New Data Sets Page for more information.
